Brazil's Fitness & Weight Loss Apps Q4 2023: Top Performers Revealed

As the year 2023 came to a close, the fitness and weight loss app market in Brazil saw varying levels of user engagement and download activity. Data sourced from Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive look at the top five applications in this category for the fourth quarter of the year.

StepWinner, despite having no revenue, experienced a fluctuating download trend, beginning with 120K downloads in late September and seeing a decline to 8K by mid-December. Weekly active users peaked at 275K in late November, with a subsequent drop to 171K by the end of December.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike maintained a steady revenue stream, starting at around $57K and rising to $66K by the year's end. The app's downloads saw a slight dip in October but bounced back with 68K downloads during the Christmas week. Weekly active users also showed an upward trend, hitting a high of 1.1M in the last week of December.

Jolly Steps saw its downloads peak at 86K in late October, then drop to 8K by mid-December. The app's active users had a high point at 174K in late October, with a decrease to 111K by Christmas.

For HryFine, there was no revenue reported, but download numbers grew from 41K to 58K from the start to the end of the quarter. The app saw its weekly active users increase from 315K to 351K in the same period.

Lastly, Home Workout - No Equipment showed a mixed revenue trend with a peak of $3K in late October, finishing the quarter at around $2K. Download figures varied, with a noticeable spike to 62K in early October and a rise to 38K during the last week of December. The app's weekly active users hovered around 400K throughout the quarter, ending slightly lower at 379K.
